New 'Cooling Cap' Keeps Hair from Falling Out During Chemo

The cap, which cools the scalp to 37 degrees during treatment, slows the metabolism of follicles so they don’t divide as quickly. Out of 101 women who took part in the clinical trial, about 70 of them kept 50% of their hair.


I was just talking to a friend at the gym this morning, she's lost all of her hair and was wearing a bandana.

It's so difficult going through all that, and losing your hair as well.
