ATTN POTHEADS: Does marijuana help alleviate anxiety symptoms? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 68132570 United States 06/09/2015 05:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have suffered from anxiety for a large portion of my life. I am currently on medication. I have tried just about everything under the sun for it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48112806 I am a bodybuilder so I eat a very clean, strict diet and am in the gym 6-7 days a week. Training does help a huge amount with the symptoms. Right now I am nearly symptom free with my meds and strict training regimen. However, I have read that weed can calm the mind and relax the body. I have read other articles that say anxiety can worsen with habitual use. I have smoked it twice in my life and wasn't impressed so I didn't bother anymore. Thoughts? Check with your doc. No issues here. |

You need to know there are two different set of substances in weed, one is anti-psychotic while the other one excites. You want the kind with lots of CBD and only little THC. I.e indica strains, and not sativa. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69383541 smoking it might work, getting too stoned could be counterproductive and cause more anxiety due to the heart and thoughts speeding up. Yeah I'd rather get the calming effects of the drug. And I'd rather not have to smoke anything. Is that even possible? I'm into a healthy lifestyle so I don't want to introduce anything foreign into my lungs. |

(except the douche who called me dickhead) In other words, there are at least 800 substances that are in the works. Some are part of the CBD group, some THC and some other. Each strain has different constitution of these substances and each have a different feel to it. Therefor it's impossible to speak about marijuana in general terms. |
