I think the headline of the thread is incorrect. They didn't reject him for a religion, they rejected him because he was "obeese".

The prejudice being that a fat Christian implies he has an image problem. They were probably looking for one of those LDS-looking or JW-looking sorts of Christians, not the fat kind. Thin, 1950's cut hairstyle, blonde probably, wearing a suit, not a T-shirt. preppy.
