Coincidentally, a friend of mine from my hometown Long Beach, CA, he told me the blacks are all pumped up on this power trip. He lives in the ghetto so he is normally living in a racially diverse community.

Maybe you should also thank the Doctors who are trying to help your brother rather than relying on some invisible sky-wizard.

Thank you all for your prayers,he is doing a little better this morning. He looks awful but the bbruises will heal. Let me just make one thing clear here,I am not racist I never say bad things about some one unless they do bad white or black. These punks happened to be black and yes they have an arrest record a mile long and I'm mad that they could have killed him and yet they get a $20,000 bond!!!They robbed him of $2.38,can you iimagine dying for $2.38! On top of that I had to watch my mother suffer and pray for her son's life to be spared!!! So yes I'm mad as crap!!!

OP, I will send prayers up range for your family. It is regrettable that your injured brother had the misfortune of crossing the path of two predators.

I certainly understand the unbridled anger that you must feel right now as the life of your own flesh and blood hovers in uncertainty. Head injuries are so unpredictable because of the long term potential effects on cognitive function.

As I put your brother's healing in the forefront of my quiet time with the Lord this afternoon I will offer another prayer. I will also pray for your brother's attackers...that the spirit of peace moves upon their hearts and the scales of prejudice lifts from their eyes. Their acts of violence are based upon a misguided world-view that will ultimately end in their destruction.

Reading about your brother's attack actually spurred a curious line of recollection that I had forgotten. Years ago I worked in EMS, before leaving the medical field, for an ambulance service. Often we would contend with tragedies that would unfold during the nightly drug wars that were waged on that side of the track.

On more than one occasion I spent the final moments with what GLP refers to as "Didndo Nuffins". One minute they are hate enraged young virile men and the epitome of what their music said they should be. Then next, in a spray of ill aimed projectiles from a Tec 9, they hemorrhage their lives. There is always that look in their eyes as they discorperate from their bodies...as though a final realization that it was all bullshit. For a micro-moment one sees them as they must have looked as children. That quickly is forgotten in the final paperwork.

I hope that in your thoughts and prayers for Edward that you too can forgive his attackers eventually. Someday when judgement comes, blood will flow like rivers into the sewer.
