When the power goes out ... how are the feds going to tell us they are in control?

Probably limited "broadcasts" for those who still have tv and radio. and loudspeaker announcements at city hall, hospitals, wherever people gather. Like at the feeding and ration stations. Also on vehicles, like the old town crier. Posted paper announcements.

Electricity has not been here that long relative to the length of say western civilization. They got the word around long before radio and tv.

You'll know because they will be the ones taking your guns, food, water and forcing you into a FEMA Camp under threat of execution.

Wait for winter, have the propaganda organs tell people there will likely be power outages due to bad weather, sabotage the grid/bring it down, jam comms locally, use the ruskie troops that are here to round people up around 3 am, kill a few of us gun owners to set an example, do whatever they want after that.

Telco and cell companies have many hours of generator and battery power to keep running when the power goes off.

Read the "299 Days" series. I'm up to book 5. In the book, the gov realizes that keeping the power on is one of the most important things besides food and water. It makes the people think the gov cares and is looking after them. The gov figures if the power goes out over huge areas, then they lose control of the population and they will rebel.

Seems reasonable. It's the difference between anarchy and some measure of control.
