They are also subject to criminal prosecution if handled the correct way. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67910997 You saved yourself here by saying "if handled the correct way." I think it comes down to the mass of citizens actually exercising their rights. With so few doing this, it opens the door to stripping our rights and succumbing to submissive behavior to a corrupt establishment. Great post tho, you're not stupid ;) |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 49976191 United States 06/15/2015 09:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I say, "so why can't we?" in my Op because in my county, you will be sentenced to 3 years in prison for shooting any firearm even for home defense on your own property. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49976191 Well, I just did some digging and could not find any law for the state of California to substantiate my own claim here ^. Like I said, sometimes I'm stupid, but this insight about being sentenced to 3 years for firing a firearm within your residence for defense purposes did come from a well informed 'open carry' activist here in my county. He's not a lawyer, so I guess I'm a dumbass for believing this. Anyone have any foresight on this? Alameda County, California. |
