Starting to hope this town goes belly up just to screw over CalPERS.

[link to en.m.wikipedia.org (secure)]

CalPERS, an agency that manages pensions for California public employees, invested heavily in Mountain House beginning in 2005, purchasing approximately 9,000 residential lots from Shea Homes. By May 2010, the $1.12 billion investment by CalPERS had been reduced to 18% of that figure: $200 million. Even though home values had dropped significantly, CalPERS determined that they would hold on to the investment, counting on a recovery of the housing market.
 Quoting: Boss Moss

It is hard to hear that, since I am a CALPERS covered employee hoping to retire in a few years.

Residential development has always been a pretty safe investment in CA. Now, the tables have turned due to the lack of a stable water supply.

What many are failing to understand is that when bad turns to worse, the state won't be 'trucking in water', because there will not be any water to deliver.

i think this might be their solution

[link to www.gr8water.net]
 Quoting: The DutchGuy in Colombia

This is their solution:

The Primary Water Institute is dedicated to teaching what is known about the volcanic origin of water from deep beneath the crust of our living world. This new water arrives at the surface through cracks, and fissures in rock strata, due to tectonic forces far below, adding to the hydrologic cycle at the surface, and in ocean basins. Fissures in the ocean floor, and cracks cause hydrothermal vents that release super heated water, rich with mineral content, to mix with seawater.

Geysers, the result of volcanic action beneath the surface, under pressure, spray primary water into the air, and bubble to the surface. Hotsprings, often found in mountainous areas, spring forth from cracks, and fissures, fractures, caused by intense pressure built up by steam and water within the rock strata.

"The drought that has been afflicting most of the western states for 13 years may be a "megadrought", and the likelihood is high that this century could see a multi-decade dry spell like nothing else seen for 1000 years, according to research presented at the American Geophysical Union meeting last week."

[link to www.primarywaterinstitute.org]

The earth produces primary water in the volcanic processes. There are oceans of water within the crust, under large overburden pressures, meaning that water finds it's way to the surface in underground rivers and streams.

The entire idea of water scarcity is a manufactured psyops for control.

Many did not believed that Babylon the Great would fall either.

Many of the Morons aboard the Titanic believed the ship was "unsinkable"?

I'm sure many of the citizens of Rome didn't believe it would fall?

You have to expect the mentality to exist under this catastrophe as well?

That page is a good quality Psy-Op, Propaganda piece.

Many of the photos look staged, altered, or patched from other sources?

Where is the real meat of the information stream?

The Negro, Mix-a-can, Mongrel, Caucasoid ratios, what's the Jew presence, whats the crime rate, how do the schools rate, what are the tax rates per 100,000 value.

That are the kind of issues needed to determine the habitability of a community.

Not a FAKE propaganda page?

Mountain House looks like a small community near San Francisco/Oakland bay area...way to the east, between Dublin, CA and Manteca, CA

Moving West is futile due to over the top outrageous house prices and rentals; go east more be in the valley; go up to the mountains???

these people may commute to Bay Area to work...

Dust Bowl times.

The valley was an inland sea not so long ago; then became desert, then got water to produce TONS of orchards there. Guess those will go too.

Between Cali and Texas, those states are getting royal beatings....Hang tough you two.

This is driving me crazy. Why foreign countries are clobbering us in math, science and English (our own language!) and taking our jobs.

It's "lose" not "loose".

LOOSE = not fitting tightly, elastic versus firm (e.g., loose pants, loose morals, loose clothes, loose hair style, loose women, loose interpretation). It could also mean being set free or released (e.g., dogs on the loose, prisoner running loose).

LOSE =  experience of loss (e.g., lose your rights, lose weight, lose water, lose loved one to cancer, lose job when you're fired, lose dignity, lose money).

Sample sentence: "If you are too loose with your money you may lose your home."

Good find! Did you note the first line in the paragraph just before that one at the link?

"In November 2008, The New York Times reported that Mountain House was the "most underwater community in America"—the ZIP code with the highest amount of negative equity on its homes."

Ha! seems it is gonna be more like "under-watered"!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69528661

Maybe it's an insurance play by Cali. Make the houses unlivable and then Calpers (and banksters that own the other mortgages) can cover their loses through an insurance claim. Or a taxpayer bailout.
