I lived in Germany with the 6 week vacation for all rules.

Sure it was nice, but don't forget the taxes were so high (and went MUCH higher) so that

the normal regular German has to work until they "keel over dead" according to an older woman who visited me from Germany in recent years.

and with the tax bite so big, forget a house.

in fact:

several years back a German employee was DINGED for using his vacation time to build a small building - a shed or something like that.


the courts ruled THAT HIS EMPLOYER HAD THE RIGHT TO DEMAND HE ONLY REST, NOT WORK FOR HIMSELF, WHILE ON VACATION.

Look asswipe, every cost forced on the employer has to be made up by employees. Min wage increases, family medical leave, obamacare, paid vacations - it all has to be paid for by the employee in terms of PRODUCTIVITY.

Any employee that isn't capable of producing it is either not hired in the first place, or they're fired (or laid off). Every other employee has to not only pull their load, but pull the load of those who lost their jobs. It kills the middle class. It makes machines much more affordable because machines don't bring their personal problems to work with them. Machines don't unionize. machines don't bitch about pay raises or working 24/7/365.

Idiots like Bernie CAUSED the problems he supposedly laments and now he's trying to RUN on Fixing the shit HE CAUSED by enacting even MORE of the policies that caused the pain he's whining about?????

Ever since I turned 30 I have made sure that I never worked more than 4 days a week and never more than 180 days a year. People tell me that I look 15 years younger than I am. I have no high blood pressure, or high sugar levels, or stress-induced disease, no liver problems, I sleep well through the night, and I certainly don't need any sildenafil or other ED meds. In fact, I don't take any meds, just supplements.
