Amari is the winner so far, with a 56 percent increase for girls and 22 percent for boys compared with last year. On her (and his) heels: Karter, more popular with girls; Phoenix, used most often still for boys; Quinn, Reese, River, Rory, Rowan, Sawyer, and Taylor. “Many parents want to transcend the old-fashioned feminine or masculine roles and image with names that have not traditionally been used for either boys or girls but can be used for both sexes,” Nameberry’s Pamela Satran tells Yahoo Parenting. My name was a last min thing, everyone thought I was going to be a boy, I was going to have my dads name, will I was a surprise, so the found a name that was the female version, I have never like the name do not like to be called that name. Some people try to say of course they should call me that name it was always used. No it wasn't I did not know how to pronounce it, they made me practice so I could say it, then it did not come out right, I never used it after except when I have to. otherwise I use many name, for what everyone want to call me it is simpler that way. I got a lot of name but not that one. Daughter out with my own way. |
