My email to Amazon :: You should do the same.
"We have been prime members for a few years now, and have spent thousands of dollars in that time with you. That being said, I think it's disgusting that you allow yourselves to be bullied into removing the confederate flag merchandise from your selection. While I don't buy the stuff, I do think it is essential that others ARE able to do so.

To ban a flag over someone saying it's racist is ridiculous. The flag is not a racial symbol of any sort. Many Americans, both black and white, carried that flag into battle and died fighting for what THEY believed in. To tell over a 3rd of a country that their ancestors are insignificant is irresponsible.

You continue to sell memorabilia representing Che Guevara, who was a mass murdering bigot, with no issue. The confederacy, whether you agree or not, is an essential part of our history as Americans, and to write them out of history to keep from offending the liberal youth, is just a sad attempt at being PC in today's society.

It has to stop somewhere. You will lose more business via censorship than you will through appeasement."

I sent one along the same lines...

I am sad to hear that you have jumped on the band-wagon of banning the confederate flag. Society has over-reacted to an issue, blaming a flag, for something else entirely. I personally don't have a confederate flag, nor do I have a Nazi flag, or an apartheid flag, but I would like to buy products from a company that does NOT put their political issues above their customers. Where does this stop? Thomas Jefferson had slaves, and by selling his biographies does that make Amazon pro-slavery? No. So, should selling a flag that is part of our history as a country, and that was taken over by an radical supremacist group, make Amazon racist? No. Get off the band-wagon, or lose me as a client.

I'm tired of this B.S. Distraction or not, the race-baiting is getting old.

I am extremely disappointed in the position Amazon has taken in regards to removing the Confederate flag from the site. I am an American and it is my constitutional right to fly whatever flag I prefer. I have never purchased or owned any Confederate flag merchandise but that is not the point here. Your company along with others have decided it is in your best interest to censor part of American history along with the First Amendment of the Constitution and I find it disgusting. Until Amazon has rescinded this ridiculous stance I will no longer favor your company with the privilege of serving me as a customer !!

I closed my account a little while ago, and told them it was due to their decision to ban the sale of Confederate flags.

This was the response I received:

I called the bastards. I was told that they were cancelling all orders for Confederate merchandise. I ask if they still sold Che Guevara T-shirts. Of course they do. Apparently they don't see a problem with glorifying a genocidal communist, but we can't buy a historical flag. FUCK AMAZON!
