James Holmes Trial: He told psychiatrist humans he murdered were worth 'points'
Except:

Dr. Reid asks the defendant about the symbol that is in the notebook and on his cell.

He says that it represents any problem can be solved with death.

Dr. Reid shows him another page of the notebook.
It's the points value of human lives. He says human lives can be transferred only if the person who died was killed by another person.

He says there is no difference in value between men and women. He says he had no distinction on who to shoot when he was in the theater.

---------

The defendant says he was unhappy with his looks - with his hair. He thought he looked into the mirror too much.
He had also looked up insomnia.

---------

He says he had delusions of grandeur - a bit of paranoia. The grandeur came from thinking he'd be worth more for killing.

He says he also saw shadows. He would try to make sense of it. He thought he was seeing things.
Dr. Reid asks how the defendant reacted when he saw the shadows.

He says he thought they were unusual - but he was apathetic toward them.
The shadows looked like they had weapons - or juggling heads.

Dr. Reid asks where the defendant was when the shadows appeared.

The defendant says he was usually in bed. If he's bored - he says he can make the shadows appear.

-------------

He was also concerned about his penis, Dr. Reid says. He says he does not want to talk about it.

------------------

Some people would send Bible passages. He believes it was a nice thing to do. (people sending stuff to him in prison)

------------

Basically, Holmes believed humans are worth 'points' if they are killed by another human...and he was 'collecting' these points, so that he would be worth more as a human.

Tells psychiatrist he felt bad for child victims.

Says he doesn't feel bad for the dead, but does feel bad for the injured.

He thinks of suicide at least once a week, attenpted it once by slamming his head against a wall. (this leaked out, but was never confirmed.)

Would like to have drugs that would make is fear if people, and his anxiety around people, go away. Says he stopped taking some prescription drugs because he didn't like the side-effects.

Says he believed the FBI were watching him prior to the batman shooting.

Says he googled ADHD because he had trouble concentrating.

Says he googled autism and aspergers because he had severe anxiety around humans and thought he had autism or aspergers.

Re: James Holmes Trial: He told psychiatrist humans he murdered were worth 'points'
By the end of the movie theater shooting, Holmes believed he had raised his "life capital" to 13, while an ordinary person's would simply be worth a single point.
"The dead can't be repaired," he told Reid. "It's kind of irreversible." Instead, he said he absorbed their life experiences as well as their hopes and dreams into his own life.
