Yes, you're right. He doesn't seem like he is going to win any IQ contests. BUT, the point to remember is...he has the right to be an ignorant old man or anything else he chooses to be.

The freedom to do what you want to on your own property is one of the few freedoms left and even that is going away.

I know so many folks who live in sub-divisions, condos, or communities with restrictions now. In most housing developments now, you are limited on what color you can paint your house, how you can decorate your yard, etc. a lot of communities now even restrict what color your Christmas lights can be.

I refuse to live in a restricted community unless or (until) I have no other choice. Right now, I could paint my house bright purple and nobody can say a word about it. I am going to enjoy that freedom while I still can.

I am very aware that this freedom will soon be taken away. A good number of people have already been conditioned to property restrictions and will think nothing of the additional ones that are coming.

If you have a choice, exercise your property rights now before they are gone. Decorate with whatever signs, banners, colors, lights, statues...whatever you like...whatever expresses your personality or likes or interests.

Do it now so you can remember what it was like "back in the day".
