Largest shareholder in Greece's 3rd largest bank: Social Unrest Coming

I'd be more worried about the social unrest from all the flotsam and jetsam washing up on Greece's shore from Turkey.

Greeks can take care of themselves and each other and have been for many austere years now, but the "migrants" will go feral.

You do not seem to understand the gravity of the situation. There's no more money coming. Pensioners are going to take a 50% or 75% haircut, or something like that, on top of what they've already given up.

Pain is most assuredly coming, and will be felt worst by the fixed income folk. Maybe lots of them have been anticipating this day and have squirreled away PM, but I doubt it?

I understand just fine. I also know the Greeks have already dealt with this for several years and have created networks etc. for themselves, since we aren't hearing about mass Greek starvation...yet.

However, the migrants are another thing. The conflict that will arise when they don't receive their papers in order to move on, etc. because everyone is busy trying to keep their own family together--that will be a different thing. The Greeks are vulnerable to problems they will create if they can't get them out of Greece.

From what I saw of the gathering of people in front of the Greece parliament, they seemed in good spirits. Mostly people cheering rather than fighting. I think the Greek people want to be on their own currency. I think they feel left out, economically, with the Euro. The transfer from the Euro to a Greek currency may happen faster than we realized

Had to get money, have no income, having to find things to eat, hauling water to drink, no electricity, not many clothes and what you have you make yourself, shoes worn until the bottoms out, Learning to bottom shoes is not a bad thing to learn. So, many other things it is not worth the effort to list. Yep, I can sympathize but I don't know their government. I am sure some of them have skill to teach others,I hope so.

Do they still have farms? Can they make cloth, can they sew? Many thing can be done without money.

Putin is going to win WWIII without firing a shot, much like he took Crimea without firing a shot. Greece and Italy will be the first battles in this war. Greece is about to exit the EU and Italy won't be far behind. The EU will attempt to destroy both these countries but Russia and China will come to the rescue in a shocking and total manner. So thorough will be the aid that Russia and China offers to Greece and Italy, that other struggling EU nations will give serious thought to turing towards Russia and China. Putin has stated that he is willing to help Greece and that the only reason he hasn't helped them yet is because they haven't yet asked. That will be changing shortly. Putin was dead serious when he said that the West's actions in Ukraine and their economic sanctions against Russia (an act of war in and of themselves) would end up backfiring and destroying the West in the long run. Putin loves the long run.

This a totally fake crisis. Greece could default on all euro debt, go back to their own currency and stay in the eurozone. Using their own currency Greece could offer great value to tourists and europeans would make Greece a mega tourist destination. That's all Greece is anyway, a tourist destination, they have islands, beaches, sunshine, olives and goat cheese, sure not a manufacturing or high tech economy, but the euro makes Greece too expensive.

Greek Prime Mister is bought and paid for by globalist banksters (as they have all been for years) and he is playing out some theatre play script written for him by the globalists who do not want Greece to leave the euro as this might wake up Spainish people etc to reality of their enslavement by euro.

There will be some phony deal cooked up that sounds good but does nothing more than keep Greeks in bondage to globalists banksters who do by the way create trillions of dollars and euros out of thin air whenever they need to do so.

Very possible but I would hope other European countries will step in and assist Greece. They cant help them with finances but there's no way they can watch an entire nation starve or go without essential medications. All these EU countries on the brink need to somehow show the rest of the world the true face of the EU system and leave all at once.

Wrong. Meaningless hot-air noise.

I am in Corvallis Oregon, I have investments in Banks and large multi-national corps. I am sufficiently diversified to keep interact 70% of my earned capital (yes, I am a capitalist) in the even of a world war. This includes %5 in physical metals, leased / productive farm land, shared in pharm. corps, etc.

Burn your neighborhoods down. My investments in materials and commercial construction / properties will rise after the insurance companies flood the markets with cash from all the claims they will have to pay out.

You cannot win. Your vision is too limited and the system is, thank goodness, very robust.

Take away their ouzo and all hell breaks loose.

Take away their medicine, medical care, food, limit to 60 Euro's a day withdrawals, tourism, fuel deliveries, 50% haircuts, and hell will look like a picnic.

The summer of unrest is upon us. Be safe out there.
