A wildfire broke out north of Wenatchee, Washington at 2:30pm on Sunday before spreading into the city
High winds and dry conditions caused the fire to spread quickly and firefighters continue to battle blaze
More than 1,000 residents forced to evacuate their homes, at least 24 of which have been destroyed
Large part of Broadview subdivision destroyed, with residents unable to grab essential as fire swept down on them
