What do you value more, time or money?

Time.

Definitely time. Up until last month, I was working 60+ hours every week for a year.. I nearly lost my sanity, I became severely depressed because I wasn't actually living my life... and the amount of that overtime pay that went to taxes! Holy poop!

No man on his deathbed has ever said, "I wish I had spent more time making money."

I could see this happening to me, sorry you had to go through that. However my bills must be paid and recent events have really drained my wallet. I'm trying to build up to where I was before so that I have a blanket in case shit happens, but I don't know if it's even worth it when I spend my only day off sleeping.

Typically, whichever is more scarce at the moment. My dream is to have so much money that I get more free time. Hope you find that, too.

I suggest cutting down to essentials. I mean it. Rice and beans and such. Meal prepping for the week- it helps save money and you waste less food. Get outside and enjoy things. When you have some money saved, get survival gear to fall back on- purchase it by priority.

This is my dream as well, but what if the day comes where money no longer matters and all the time we spent working towards free time was for nothing?

No brainer...time.

Money of course. Money can buy time .If I have inherited a few millions from my dad then I have a lot of time hanging around . You work now to get money so that you have more time relaxing later on.

I value time more but out of necessity I do not get what I want.
On Fathers Day my husband got called out 3 times.
He no sooner gets home that the phone does not start ringing.
Fires
Flooding
Vandalizers
Somethings broke
Somethings lost
On and on it goes even criminals attacking tenants for no reason other than ethnic haltered.

He loves his job and has been at it for a very long time and all his coworkers and owners love him as well.
It is good for him to work and have a life.

I miss him and he misses me.

Even if he cut back to regular bankers hours and days, we would not be able to get all things in order before we are way to old and unable.

Time is valuable money is not but necessity of children left behind and us growing old we have no choice.
We want to leave the others what we have so they can better survive and not suffer.

At this point if my income was tripled my saving would grow quicker but the things I want to do in life would still have to wait until I have less constraints on my time.

pick one, fake actor, or real happy person. real happiness is inside you and is a feeling of peace and comfort, not surrounding your self with fake props (and debt) to look cool (fake) to others like your on (a fake) tv show, being fake cool looking for a fake audience.

so it is your choice, neither is better really, just a pair of opposites is all, fake (overtime/ money chasing) or real (kicking back, smiling inside and laughing at fakers compete with each other as to who is cooler and has the most shiny crap. or real and knowing inside your happy and not giving a crap what complete strangers think of you - who gives a crap what they think of you?

I value time when I make money.

When i was a child, i had nothing but time and little to no money. I didnt know the world needed money to get by. Slowly, the world convinced me that by giving up my time to make money i'd somehow be happy. I was lied to!

At first, it was mowing the lawn or taking out garbages for a few bucks to purchase comic books and packs of hockey cards, (canadian eh!) where as it was from time to time and not really regimented. Then it was a paper route, this took planning and commitment to my routes subscribers. Then it was my first official corporate job, McRaunchies!! Oh how i hated it right out of the gates. Anyone who's worked there can tell you, and as a zit faced teenager 50% off of the food was a cruel joke!

Anyways, many many many jobs, careers, and failed business ventures later i can honestly say i value my TIME much much much more then chasing worthless fiat paper!! I wont go into details too much but i'm currently working two part time jobs and receiving full time wages for doing them and loving every minute of it. I'm truly blessed, and i of course owe it all to my King and Savior, Jesus Christ!!

Word to the wise, if you can, eliminate any vices, scrap 90% of your wants and be satisfied with just the basic needs being taken care of. It can make such an amazing change in your life, for those willing to sacrifice, the rewards are out of this world!

Time. More time to spend with my wife and son. More time to visit my parents. More time to relax, slow down, and take a breather and understand that I'm in control of my health. And maybe remembering every now and then to quit worrying so much.

Read all the doom on here to stay updated. And it sometimes disconnects me from counting my blessings
