I guess this was a case of the rarely seen "inactive shooter"

Reason #1, cops want overtime and holiday pay for the next 5 days

Reason #2, some federal employee called in a fake call to go home early, 5 day weekend. You can see them leaving DOT HQ to take the metro home on the news.

Assuming this turns out to be nothing, I wonder how many Americans saw the active shooter headlines but never will see the reports that it was a false alarm???

Around here, last month somebody "called in" an active shooter at an old public library @ 2AM... All tactical guys showed up ready to roll, plenty of parking space for the armored trucks and abulances, nobody around.

News reported it as a "prank call". Mhmmm suuure. Waste of taxpayer dollars so they can get their kicks. Really obvious when you realize what's happening.

We would expect nothing less, Janey!!!

Isis may have called in the hoax just to see what the reaction would be. Old military trick before an all out attack.

Seriously, the blame will probably be put on either mental illness, ISIS (same as mental illness, but you get the idea), the flag's fault, the gun's fault, or to a lesser extent... Obama's fault. Certainly not the shooter.

I guess you've never met a federal employee especially the ones in the administrative units. Why do you think administrative units (who are basically secretaries themselves) have to go out and hire contractors to help them do their secretary stuff?
