Why is it when Jesus told us to watch the signs of the times and we do, everyone else calls it "fear"??

The poster who linked the Yokut story a few pages back was correct.

Whether raven or crow does make some difference. Raven and crow to me are brother tribes. But both are distant cousins to Eagle. In the Yokut story, Crow started the problem, but Eagle continued it. It usually does take two to perpetuate, even though one of the two can be more at fault.

In the Yokut story, there was nothing but water and crow was riding on eagle's back, and that story has been around longer than Christianity has in all likelihood if you think about it. Just because it wasn't written down doesn't mean anything.

Then they saw a stump, and landed, and would catch small fish. The story in the link is better. They never saw land, until they came back and there was a duck too, and the duck brought up land from the water and mud below and they worked out an agreement that the crow and eagle would exchange the fish they caught for mud to build a new world.

There is a lot more to the story.

Rainbows, for instance.

My interpretation of the photos/story is that there is an alliance that has been made, a good one.

Also, animals are more individual than we think, and more intelligent, and do not always act on instinct but also can be empathic and empathetic too.

it is a good omen.

I also believe the prophecy of the crow and seagull attacking the dove of peace was a correct one in it was exactly what it showed. The seagull and crow are in a good alliance and the dove of peace was and is a false one.

but most already know that. it is finding what is True among the false when they change and transform and even animals learn and grow faster than it is generally believed..

new tribes. new alliances. new lessons. sometimes hard ones, but not always, and new friendships fighting the old falsehoods.

Avians.

Well I thought it was quite interesting OP. Especially since the crow represents not just an omen, but also a BAD OMEN, DEATH and DARK WITCHCRAFT:

AND it's quite timely with all the July 4th terror warnings.

Wow!

I like the one where he's just about to land.

As for a sign...hmm.

Having just read about it's symbolism, maybe it means that A MESSAGE is about to land on the United States; crows are an omen of change:

"Crows are messengers:...

...Throughout history there have been many (unnecessary) conflicts and wars between humans due to differing moral and religious beliefs. To truly create a new age of love, peace and harmony it is of high importance for us to be able to transcend our particular cultural limitations and to hold in our hearts and souls what we share as spiritual beings in human form.

We are all connected, infinitely and composed of the same ‘stuff’.

We need to realise that hurting others only hurts ourselves.

Crow is the bird which represents this transcendence."

I believe it is misidentified

crow is actually a raven notice the finger feathers. Crow has five raven has four the long feathers at tip not including short at very tip and short behind.

This part is interesting. The eagle is known for the 'eagle eye' and is interesting how chemical signals and sight(light polarization filters) work in tandem.
Warnowiids spear their victims with harpoon-like appendages, and it is thought the ocelloid helps them find food. Many of their prey are largely transparent, but it's possible that they interfere with light just enough to be spotted by the ocelloid, which may send chemical signals to the rest of the cell to orient hunting.

"The internal organization of the retinal component of the ocelloid is reminiscent of the polarizing filters on the lenses of cameras and sunglasses," said senior author Professor Brian Leander, head of Gavelis' lab. “It has hundreds of closely packed membranes lined up in parallel.”

A second time the Earth will rise up from the ocean, greenery of the eddying fountains, and it will be verdant and beautiful. ... Two people will have hidden themselves from Surtr's fire. From these will come so many descendants that the whole world will be inhabited, and from them springs mankind. Cascades fall [it is the Age of Aquarius] and the Eagle [Aquila] flies over, he who spies fish from the Fell. [Followers of the Eagle would have you believe he will be the Most High God ... and if that is so, he may be assuming a new position on the Council of the Gods.]
