It is the most overused cliche response that non-believers come up with to avoid having to take responsibility for their sins.

When ppl say im not religious only spiritual are the wrong or whats your opinion on this?

Churches are like Unions.
They start out with good intentions then the the money and power corrupts the men in charge.

It is usually taken away from the population when one is controlling them. For example: the Soviet Union and Romania in the past, China, N. Korea and it is going to be removed here. In the case of Islam, you can't say that the religion is used to control the people because they believe in the religion and the harsh punishments for disobeying. They are controlled by dictatorships. Perhaps in the case of the Taliban or ISIS you could say that religion is used to control the people because they are bloodthirsty and want an excuse to kill people.

Great post but HOW can we 'remember'? I've had a lot of change lately but this eludes me. I have an idea but I want to know for sure - if that's even possible. Not fair!

However much you want to believe that religion was created as a mind control device, it never has and never will work nearly as well as TV and Porn do now.

They're not just distractions. They are forming patterns of thinking for the masses. Telling us what to believe. How to behave. How to treat others.

Christianity was not originally a religion. It was known as "The Way". When the Catholic church was created it corrupted the teachings and used it to control the population. The American forefathers understood the true teachings and our Constitution was based on biblical principles. Americans had liberty when they set Jesus up as their king. This is why Washington refused to be king, but would only agree to preside. We have turned away from Christ and no longer have liberty. Even Horace Greeley understood this and stated that it was impossible to enslave a bible reading populace. This is the reason why dictatorships hate Christianity. This is why the early church was persecuted.

Many or the historical documents and letters of the founding fathers have been stolen or destroyed. Some of them still exists and if you look for them you will see that most of them were not deist as we have been led to believe.

Have you ever noticed that TPTB seemingly worship differently than the rest of the populous?

You truly think they would allow you proles to have access to information that would BENEFIT you in any way?

If governments allow you to worship a religion for centuries, if governments actively perpetuate such religions on the populous, religions that glorify servitude and slavery and the wasting of lives as sheeple for the promise of some unverifiable future reward, chances are those religions aren't worth a shit.

They want good sheeple - it wasn't enough to threaten those already suffering in abject poverty and squalor with more suffering in this life - the risk of committing crimes is worth the potential benefit when you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

So they made up shit to make people more compliant. They took away the real, traditional gods and the rituals that brought the people independence and power and replaced them with a made-up, state-sponsored, previous NWO gawd. They killed off the resistance in the most brutal ways possible to "encourage" people to join their ranks. It was effective, over the course of 1000 or so years - so much truth to the story they were selling that they had to kill thousands upon thousands upon thousands to get them and keep them in the fold.

Their chattel - smarter than our chattel.

Look at the time and effort we put into domesticating dogs.

Obviously yes, religion can always be a tool to manipulate us all, for ill AND for good. I wonder what else that deeply matters to us can't be? Look at politics and consumerism...

But i don't focus just on control of the masses, as seems normal to conspiracy culture, because i recognize the power of the individual to become independent of the collective mind-set.

This for me is where real change takes place. In the heart, mind and spirit of each of us. In this sense manipulation from the pulpit doesn't nearly concern me so much as the mass failure of individuals to answer it.

My greatest caution i reserve for the individual who is so empowered by their adopted wisdom and revelatory experiences that they must convince all others of its absoluteness.

This is the zealot, of which there are many examples on this website. It is not enough to believe for them. You must too! And because some religions espouse such pro-activism, then this is the point at which i depart from tolerance for them. When they seek to control rather than enlighten.
