Who here think that religion is just a tool to control the population........

I'll put it this way. I think a lot of traps are set. Maybe some are wise enough or lucky enough to avoid some and they fall into others. I doubt you have too many out there that avoid ALL traps.

I think it's just another case of "Don't worry about it too much because ________ will ride in and save the day." You can fill in the blank with troops, cops, God, aliens, ghost of Elvis or anything else you can think of. I truly believe we're on our own.

I know some might fire back at me and ask what created us then? I have no idea. There's a lot of things I wonder about that I want the answers to now. One shouldn't have to wait until death to possibly get those answers of what this place is, why were we here, what happens after death and so many of other mysteries that life is full of. Don't hand me a book and tell me "This is one book you can trust 100%." No, in a world full of lies and deception I can't believe that either.

I agree we have to ride this through alone but maybe we can look within for help. Kindof like how a soul-mate understands what you are going through and can help with decisions or stear you in the right direction. I know it might not make sense but that's what I feel.
