Oh Hell Yeah! "Being Evel" Official Trailer!!!! (Evel Knievel Documentary)

I was living in the St Lawrence valley in the late 70's and a guy named Ken Powers was supposed to be going to one up Evel and jump the St.Lawrence river form the US into Canada. He badmouthed Evil and called him a fraud.

Anyway, they built this huge eyesore of ramp, there was more publicity than the Snake river failure, and he never made the jump. It turned out to be scam, thousands of tickets were sold and investors screwed, it turned out he never intended to make the jump. If he had, he would have been killed. He was supposed to be riding in a rocket powered Lincoln town car, and there was never any provisions made for a landing ramp in Canada, he never got Canada's permission for the "international flight".

My husband is from Butte Montana. He was friends with Robbie, Evel's son. The kids used to ride bikes and skateboards down the hills in Butte and jump over moving traffic. Then they got in trouble. Now they would be X-gamers and rich. LOL. Times have changed. BTW: Evel was a mean and abusive personality. People who really knew him did not care for him. Couldn't even hold his liquor very well. Ask some natives from Butte what kind of guy he was and you would not like the answer. The wife and kids are stellar folks.
