I personally think the Demiurge tries his best to be perfect. Often he tries too hard. He's not inherently evil, he's just insane and fails to realize that the matter he manipulates will ALWAYS make an imperfect existence.

Gnostics consider that before the arrival of the Serpent in paradise, man was in a state of ignorance and was blind to his true situation. the demiruge is but another word to describe the dark mind on this planet.. .which some label Satan as a person.. while the congomerate of dark mind does in a sense make a personhood... it is not a person named Satan.

Other than of course the greek word satan meaning adversary. The demiurge is adversary to that which is creator love.

this is a garbage statement. When a human being actually merges with Creator.. that is the indwelling divine Father with whom he merges and not the demiurge which is no creator... it does not create, it cannot create. It can only lure away from creator.

if man actually merges with the indwelling Father.. he is forever freed and is finding truth.... and this universe.. "lasts"... it is eternal. And man who again merges with the Father has done what it takes to be committed to the search for that truth which is of God... This supposed Gnostic statement is really dumb... really dumb .. did you write it.. or did you copy it from another?

Man who merges with the indwelling Creator Father Fragment has truly begun to be free.

For Gnosis, the rebellion against the demiurge does not only free man from his slavery and servitude, it also weakens and takes away power from the demiurge. Through his constant opposition, the Gnostic gradually acquires a power equal then later superior to that of the creator god.

Every religious movement which works in favour of the demiurge will give great importance to the need to destroy the self of the aspirants. For fusion with the demiurge to be successful, it is fundamental that the aspirant renounces his self.

On the other hand, in initiations of the Spirit, the aim is always the enlargement of the self and the accumulation of power. Enlarging the self is to get close to the Spirit. If the self does not exist, the Spirit cannot manifest Itself. Renouncing the self is to renounce the Spirit.

If the Spirit felt love for the demiurge and his creation, it would not be a Spirit, it would be a soul. The soul is pure love (for the demiurge and his work). The Spirit is pure hate (for the demiurge and his work).
