Planned Release of Suicide Squad on Most Significant Suicide Date in History

Marilyn Monroe was reported to have committed suicide on August 5 1962. Studies of suicide later reported a very significant increase in suicide following her death.

This effect has since been coined the Copycat Effect.

Why would Hollywood, who would very much be aware of this, release Suicide Squad on this date?

If you think it is just coincidence consider that the very nature of media reporting on prominent suicides has been influenced by the evidence surrounding copycat suicides following prominent suicides – most especially Marilyn Monroe’s.

Or maybe it is just a very interesting coincidence...
