Renting property uk
If you move into a property do they have to change the locks in case the old residents still have keys?

Is it law>

Re: Renting property uk
Interesting question.

I don't think a landlord is obliged to change locks, but could well be wrong.

No and you will need permission from the landlord to change the locks.

Re: Renting property uk
Just go to lock shop in a town. Chat. Get new barrel for fiver. New deadlock and a draw bolt lock or two. Just do it without asking. Only way anyone ll tell is if they themselves tried sneaking in ie the landlord. Setup a webcam on door to cover this and general safety. Fifty quid the lot !!!!!

yes, landlord access is legal but only when he gives you the correct notice, not sure what the current legislation is now though

You don't need to give the landlord a key if you have a tenancy agreement.

Re: Renting property uk
Yeah watching calais. But they are orphans of blairs bloodlust. And cameron re libya. Not immigrants. Thats brainwashing. I think if no one has a plan in time theyll fully storm calais and easily take over at least one ferry. Then who knows. But really its a myth. I was just in town for three hours. Only saw two chinsse guys and they were serving in shops. This is a special place. Its tipping it down with rain so i have time to tell u all. Land may be reclaimed to west of our harbour in future. This could be breathtaking. South facing maybe a half mile out to sea with full 180 degree sea views. Love it. Just wish i had more money and glp people here...

Op - osbourne wants 25-40 per cent more cuts. That'll be eqivalent to damage from invasion !!! which bit of our failed state are u in ? Bugout wise dover rocks even being near europe for full bug out and supplies in bad times ahead... London etc will be uninhabitable in 72hrs under all bad scenarios but millions still love living in box with no views , noise, pollution, crowds of people. Dont get it
