Remote Control Gone-Then Reappears 4 days later

One night I went to bed and turned off the TV and laid the remote on my desk next to the computer. The next morning it was gone. I searched the house for hours and could not find it. Freaking out the whole time. Finally that night I went out and bought a new one. This morning I am at the same desk on the computer watching TV and went in the kitchen to get a cup of coffee and came back out to my desk and there it laid. It just reappeared. There was no one else here if a game was being played. How could this happen? I am not nuts and not only anything that would make me hallucinate so what is the explanation? So that I won't make myself nuts I have to believe that a ghost had to have done it. I have no logical explanation and the minute I told someone about it they gave me that look like I was crazy? Is this a real phenom or am I losing it?
