Should I sue meijer corporation for not filling two prescriptions that my Dr (doctor of the year) prescribed for me?

Pharmacists are not doctors....but probably know more about medication and medication interactions than doctors. I work with doctors and frequently when medication questions come up, they tell me call the pharmacist. If there was a question the pharmacist should have called the physician for clarification. If doctor gives the ok, then there should be no problem. Lots of people take meds that interact with each other. These meds still get flagged regardless. Just an extra safety measure. What would happen if there was a mistake by the doctor and the pharmacist filled the meds anyway and and you were injured? Even the best doctor makes mistakes.

I am a hard working American, I pay for my family's health insurance, I pay our doctor bills, who is she to say what Med I should or shouldn't be on. That's my doctors job.

There's no mistake. There's no negative reaction between the two. My doctor was doctor of the year at her hospital and owns her own family practice. I hardly think she knows less that a pharmacist.

True enough "Pharmacists are not doctors," but they are highly qualified indivduals and although you may disagree you should listen to their opinions with respect. I've had some good advice from them over the years.

Nurses and pharmacist keep doctors from killing you.

I once had to get a change on a script that had just been written by a doctor because the doctor didn't notice any potentials for allergic reaction. The pharmacist did, however.

Doctors aren't trained on medicines as much as you might think. I'd trust the pharmacist as last word on whether something is safe or not depending on your medication history and whether or not you've had reactions to meds, and if there are any contraindications with two or more medications.

Since you haven't posted the meds yet, I'll assume you've already looked them up very stringently to be sure there are no adverse reactions or issues from taking both. Either that, or you were prescribed two narcotic pain meds at relatively high doses.

Well of course I have, and I called my doctor too. It's been 6 months. Now and no problems.

I lost my mom due to a drug interaction prescribed by her wonderful fucking doctor. (An up and coming "specialist" in his field)

I would do some research before taking them.

No it was a new blood pressure Med and a cholesterol lowering Med.

That explains it all. Cholesterol meds mess up your brain. I'm surprised you even remember it happening.

Doctors SCREW UP all the time when prescribing multiple medications. It causes many thousands of deaths every year in the US. (I have read that it is upwards of 60,000 per year!)

Usually the Pharmacist is more up on adverse interactions than the Doctor is ... so if a Pharmacist says "WHOA", then I would be contacting the Doctor to make sure that they actually meant to combine the two, or more, medicines, SPECIFICALLY SAYING TO THE DOCTOR "The Pharmacist is worried about these being taken together".

You sue in order to become whole. What do you feel that you are out? What do you think will make you whole?. You got the medications from a different pharmacy, so I guess you could sue for the gas and wear and tear on your vehicle to get you to the next pharmacy.... so $.59 per mile x 20 extra miles = $11.80 You could probably hire an attorney for $12K and win your $12 judgement.
