Anyone hearing sirens going off in Louisville KY?

Hmm, Ya you would think someone would have posted it hear if it was true. I am checking out the news stations off the net but haven't found anything, I guess I could see if there are any live radio feeds in the area. Heh, I guess I could call their local PD and see if they say anything, but I guess I don't truly believe them to go that far.

Are you saying that you are in the area and hear the sirens and that is why? Or are you just guessing that if there were sirens going off that would be why? THanks.

I noticed the same thing in northern Michigan recently.. every night at 10.pm an air raid siren goes off for one cycle.

Turns out it indicates the 10.pm curfew some states have in effect for minors to be off the streets..

I'm just guessing.

i know they do at husky stadium in seattle...

maybe louisville had never scored before so it seemed unsual?

The current siren system provides approximately 90% coverage to the total Louisville Metro population and 66% of the total acreage. The siren(s) will be activated when a tornado warning or a chemical emergency occurs. They can also be activated for other emergencies.

What should I do if I hear an outdoor warning siren?
If you hear an outdoor warning siren you should seek shelter inside immediately. Once inside, you should turn on a television or radio to learn further information. Local officials will be disseminating information about the emergency through these outlets

On the front page of this site, there are now 4 "Siren" threads from different parts of the country and one possibly in Canada? There must be something "Up".
