If anyone paid attention to my other poker thread I'm 5/7 now in final table appearances vs live tournament entries . I feel good about that

For a $60. buy in that is not that bad of a play. It is only bad because you were on the losing end of it.

You are playing with idiots if bb folded and showed you cards. You can still make money because you will remember this situation if you encounter it again. Poker is the perfect representation of life here because you see all types of people and have to judge them and figure them out. You will be fine in the end...sounds like you have skills.

So many people think they are good at poker. I sit there and watch them play and it's quite appealing to my senses because if I focus and play smart cashing is almost guaranteed

The funny thing is monster stack calls 40k mid position with k3 suited but folds 7k more with 33. The stupid.

Thanks for the response....I played the 1st couple years of the Wild Horse week long tourney...back then it was a nice tourney and they fed you well with a free buffet every night.
Haven't gone for some years now. They went to 2 a year but not sure if they still run 2 tournies?

No way. That was just shitty play. When you have the chance to knock somebody off, you take it. Maybe he got confused and thought the bet was bigger than it was. That I could believe.

Live play is not like the internet where all the numbers are there in front of you on the screen. You have to keep track of pot sizes and bet sizes yourself, in your head. Sometimes you look at a stack of chips and say to yourself, "that's too much", just going by the physical size of it instead of the number itself. For instance, 3 green chips are sitting in the pot and the guy pushes a massive stack of 150 reds. Each green is worth 100 reds, but sometimes your brain is just fucked, maybe you're tired, and you fold. Then it hits you a second later, fuck, that was hardly more than a 1/3 pot sized bet, I would have called that, should have called that.

Don't gamble if you can't afford it its that simple I feel no pity for people trying to one up the system playing a card game .

I work my ass off and I have every right to play my sport . Can't shoot a basketball or throw a pitch but man can I play poker
