They must have used that age old trick of filling up the barrels with nails and throwing the PMs on top during inspection.

There is no "THERE" there with ETF's.

No company to break up and sell off -no inventory, no real estate. When it goes bust - its GONE!

This is how they will take away our ability to buy silver and gold ,by saying they need to regulate all ofthese metal shops.

It's possible, but silver and gold have been in and out of backwardation and once they enter permanent backwardation the banks will get congress to pass a law to close the future's trading to protect all of the bullion banks naked short positions.

I don't think they would go so far as to confiscate PMs since that would be a big red flag. They would probably use this example and others that will follow to close down the dealers, ban the sale of PMs.

But I think you could still sell PMs to individuals willing to buy, that is if you actually wanted to trade real money for paper.

Probably better off owning an ETF that admits its just set to the price of gold or silver and doesn't own any at all.

We always ride. The market manipulation will only get worse though. The real benefit of the investment will hit probably about the time our kids take over things. So longevity wise it is still awesome.

But unfortunately all my gold and silver was taken by a real leprechaun. ..so theres that....

I made a very large (very large) silver bullion order from jmbullion on the 14th. The shipping label was created but the product still hasn't shipped. I am getting complete damage control from their claims department. She actually said to me she "has no idea what is going on". Today I get an email saying she has finally heard back from the branch that ships the metal and that they will call me tomorrow. So instead of a simple email saying that my order has shipped, I have to have a phone conversation with these people tomorrow. Not expecting good news

take delivery and bury it...............

You can bet your ass that if I ever receive it, it will all be ultra sound tested.

lol the Precious Metal IRA, buy metal and ship it straight from supplier to your 'personal' holdings. What could go wrong?
