I'm glad I'm older and out of this particular age bracket that a lot of popular music is aimed at. Hell, I honestly felt that way as a teenager when I was growing up. That's why I dived into 80s music because I thought it was better than the mainstream stuff going on at the time. But even I have to admit the stuff I didn't like from the 90s still focused on the music and wasn't as cookie cutter as it is now. The music is in the background while the antics are front and center--whether you want somebody licking your pussy on stage, or if you want to be a "badass" by flipping the finger, or if you want to be a fake weirdo*.
