some dude, war hero from ww2
took the picture in 1959 in Congo of a huge snake from his helicopter

said it was approximately 50 ft
later CIA analysts compared the size of the termite nests with the snake and concluded its about 200 ft long

WTF ?

Now what would a 2oo foot snake eat to survive?
How many snakes needed for a viable breeding population?

You would think that they would have noticed the large snake eating the family elephant or whatever.
Possible always, probable not likely.

Congo does have thick jungle and lot of wild life in it

snakes do feed once a week
and for this monster ( if it does exist )
would one elephant a week do ?
gorillas maybe ?
