My first observation is that he is taking his daughter back to college after summer vacation.

Autumn semesters generally begin in September.

Highly improbable storyline.

Doom on... doom off.

Amazing how they were able to outrun that wave under the bridge... at just the right moment no less.

Then to find the kiddies in the skyscraper like they did... amazing.

Some overall cgi fun, but left me with the feeling that I had wasted 10 bucks.

Yeah really. Highly improbable storyline, AC? You do realize that there was absolutely NO storyline, right? San Andreas had a psudeo-storyline. It was pretty much we the audience merely came in at the lead guy's life just as the idiotic cali-girl manages to drive herself right down a mountain side and directly in between two nearly touching mountains near their base. That chain of events started the whole movie. It's like the writers said "Screw it! The storyline was gay! Delete that and we'll be able to cram in ninety more minutes of awesome CGI and dialogue created by this Random Word Generator!". So the revised San Andreas script was green lit. Literally the only one in the whole movie that made me not feel *totally* ripped off was The Rock himself.

Even then it felt to me as though he willingly neutered himself trying to constantly save and protect his Feminist ex-wife. Worst of all, he still had the gall to totally wuss out on damn near everything. Intimidation isn't the same as ass-kickery. Then the illusion of intimidation ended every time The Rock had a temper tantrum. That was really laughable each time. Then as the movie droned on and on the stupid family members work diligently to give up totally on life. It's as if they realized that they were in a Sims game and wanted out about mid way through the movie by any means necessary.

Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker.

A time is coming when men will go mad,
and when they see someone who is not mad,
they will attack him, saying,
'You are mad; you are not like us."

Re: Movie Analysis: San Andreas
Watching it now, 20 minutes in and up to now, not impressed at all.
Do not fear the great changes we face at this time. Simply acknowledge this as a grand process, as we move from the old to the new. Are you waiting for something? or are you setting yourself free?
And as the old world falls, a new world may be born. And as we learn new things about our universe, may we be mature enough to take our place amongst the stars.
