Anonymous Coward User ID: 54980830 United States 08/03/2015 08:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Walker wants to raise as for those current his age. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54980830 Nope, he's done. No ones gonna stand for that after the financial raping they've allowed to happen. I'm 46. Social Security absolutely will not be there for me by the time I turn 67. No way. It is insolvent before my current retirement age. Something has to be done. I don't want the age requirement raise, but baring massive deaths of seniors or massive illegal aliens paying new taxes, it isn't going to be there unless it is fixed. I would support raising the limit, but it also needs to be privatized. I want the money that was stolen from me back to do with as I see fit. Wish I wasn't on my phone so I could type more. No, they can find a way to make it happen the same way they bailed out the banks. If it's privatised it can also be manipulated. I fully expect it not to be there as I'm your age, too but they will not get the public's permission for this kind of cut. It's hard enough for those over55 to find work, raising it is stupid. People won't survive. They will still throw money at the ladies, though. Count on it. Understand the cell phone thing and I have the benefit of a lap top right now. Not a fair keyboard fight I understand. Post as you can. They "fixed" the banks by printing money out of thin air. We went from about a 10 trillion deficit in 2001 to an 18 trillion deficit last year. By the way, that 18 trillion has been stuck for the last 6 months because they can't kick that can down the road anymore. We have hit the wall. Something has to be done or the house of cards will fall. The whole house, not just SS. Again, I'm open to ideas. I don't want the age requirement increased, but I also know it won't be there for me and we can't keep printing money for my grandchildren to pay. I won't be a part of enslaving my descendants like the Baby Boom generation has. Raising the age of hard is the wrong cut, their are cuts everywhere else they can make. They used the funds for other things now they should take it out of other things to make it work. Or, stop all welfare and give everyone 10 k year because jobs are gone or being automated. Or, you can open your mind to Trump who won't make unfair cuts and will instead fix the problems. |

Quoting: Resister It shows a proper upbringing and moral character that most people (including you apparently) don't even know you lack. Very few people attain Eagle Scout and although it's tainted now in the last couple of pro-homo years, it really meant something when he was young enough to earn that honor. You're applauding someone who doesn't even have a proper enough upbringing to realize it's tacky and trashy to put down people as inferior to them for something they did during childhood. That would be like me bragging that I was a Ticktocker and a Debutante, it's just stupid. Can we focus on the relevant issues please. I did not trash your childhood. I don't know anything about you. I just have higher standards for the highest elected office in the land that only one person in over 300 million people can attain every four years. You called Walker a dork for mentioning that he was an Eagle Scout. You trashed the moral character and commitment of his youth. It said something about you. I stand by my comments. I would take an Eagle Scout over someone who thinks that person is a dork any day. I wasn't putting down that he was an Eagle Scout, his background should speak for itself. I am calling him a dork for throwing it into his little teleprompter speech during this "debate" when it wasn't relevant to the topic at hand. |
Resister User ID: 64514669 United States 08/03/2015 08:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Good answers from Gov. Walker on Social Security and Medicare reform. Quoting: Resister You people who are hating on Cruz for his voice or mannerism obviously aren't aware that he is a well trained serious debater. This isn't a real debate, but the guy doesn't say anything that isn't well thought out. He is a serious candidate. Resister, I've been agreeing with you for years but austerity for soc sec age isn't going to fly after the mess they've allowed. It doesn't matter whether you agree with me or Walker or not. The reality is that SS is insolvent. I'm 46 and it will not be there for me by the time I'm 67. How would you make it solvent? I would rather not have to work until I die, but it was originally for 55 year olds and older at a time when people didn't live past 60. People are collecting SS now for 20-30 years. It also began as a government managed savings account of sorts, but we all know Washington DC has stolen that money and now current SS recipients are not getting there money back by are getting the incoming taxes of their children and grand children. That's just wrong. It has to change. If you have a good idea on how to fix that, I'm all ears. Take it from the baby makers and bring back orphanages. Cut food stamps and bring back commodities. Stop paying billions in tax returns that are fradulant that end up helping the economy in Mexico. Okay, the first 2 is sort of hard line but asking people to close their legs is much easier than asking a 68 year old to apply for jobs that are asking for energetic, quick, able to lift, kneel or squat, etc is stupid. At least stop the tax fraud enriching the country of Mexico. It would be a start. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... First time I've gotten to hear most of the candidates in one place at one time answer a decent set of questions. From what I was able to see with an admittedly late start, there were good showings from Cruz, Carson, Paul, Walker, Fiorina, Santorum, Jindal, and Kasich. Need to go back and watch the earlier stuff. Last Edited by Resister on 08/03/2015 09:04 PM "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. You can never get a candidate that is 100% spot on. You always have to settle for the person least likely to implement tyranny and the mark of the beast.......they are all pawns.... it doesnt make a shit, all those fucktards are up there, not to make things right, but to usher in ideas, like biometrics and other plans the elite have concocted for us.... Its all about each one promoting an idea, then they play it off each other, when in reality, they are all working toward the same goal......The fucks sound scripted, because they are....Fat Christy, Jindall, Bush, Cruz, and the rest of those boot licking piles of shit are all the same. We need someone who will stand up there and call them all out for the fucking traitorous criminal piles of shit they are for voting to sell out he U.S. and bring this country to its knees.... Fuck all you mealy mouth cocksuckers, I wont be voting for any of you. Take your rigged system and shove it up your ass. |
