You people may make jokes but for people that don't have land lines, if there is an emergency it could be the matter of life and death, without cell phone service. Or someone might be out on the highway and have a wreck and be unable to call 911. It is more than just checking facebook and twitter, it is not having a way to call for help.

It'll be just like the entirety of civilization was up until a couple decades ago again. We should be okay.

Understood...however, that's why it's unwise to ditch your landline. That's something I urge friends and family not to do. We might all wake up one day to find not only cellphones, but the Internet and possibly the very power we depend on are gone.

Indiana here...we're getting some weird message on our I Phone about a virus or something hitting it.

Where in Indiana? South Central here, no problems with cellphones yet.

I'm within that red zone, and my connection has been working fine all day.

Anyone having internet or cellular issues in South Carolina?

South Central too. We were getting this weird message on our Apple Iphone screen saying our OS was compromised. However we are still getting service...for now. We are on Verizon here.
