Lester User ID: 69876412 United States 08/04/2015 09:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your unaware of your own carnality, Lisa to the square... Were you Born-Again per Ezekiel 36:26, Given "A New Heart of Flesh" Father's Flesh which Replaces your "stony-heart" You Would KNOW what God Delivered you from... It ain't pride. It is failure of heart. Christ Died To Enable our Coming Unto The Father. The stain of original sin is gone, but until we make our Surrender Unto The Father, HE does not Look Upon Us... Have to "die unto self" to be Born-Again. ONLY God The Father Can or Will Deliver us from carnal-hearted self... Not something you understand, because it never happened to you. Not something you are willing to hear, much less contemplate because your carnal-heart is running your show... Call that "pride" if you want. It's why you reject my witness. Carnal-heart unwilling to contemplate Coming Unto The Father.... Oh well.... You aren't alone. This is Laodicea and most are cold or lukewarm. Going to face Rejection.... Iniquity is another term for the carnal-heart. "Depart from ME, you who work iniquity; I KNOW YOU NOT!" Says Christ Jesus... HE Says that to those who haven't Been Enabled To DO The Will Of HIS Father. Those who aren't Born-Again... HE Says that to those who did "Mighty works, cast-out demons, and Prophesied IN HIS Name"... Rejected even though they seemingly were righteous and doing God's Work... Yet, they never surrendered self Unto Father.... Can't KNOW anything about HIM until you KNOW HIM. Jut how it goes... Maranatha!!! |

The root is depravity of God's LOVE flowing from within us to give us security and fulfillment. Deep down pride says "love me, accept me, admire me, or else!" A proud person is insecure of rejection because ever since childhood, we knew what pain rejection brought to us. So pride always wants the last word to win any argument we get into with others. We try to avoid losing the argument at all cost because of fear of looking foolish and being rejected ultimately. Pride is the condition of relying on other people to satisfy our need and desire for love, instead of relying on God. God will fulfill us FIRST with Love and acceptance. Our fellow man/woman cannot do this. This is why we fight for attention, acceptance, admiration, and honor from others. The solution is to get a revelation of how much God really loves us and to sense this Love. Once we sense this Love from within, we no longer 'latch on' to others and rely solely on their love to satisfy our need to be loved. In summary, stay close to God and He will help you avoid pride. |

I am also very guilty of this. I will get bad to where I am living a bitter life over it. To be honest that is usually the times I have been operating in a bad place and not with God. Then I get very critical of others to make myself feel better. I always catch it after a while and ask forgiveness and for God to let me see people through His eyes. I have always been aware, and knew it was wrong and vile, but never considered exactly why. Thank you. You really opened my eyes here! |

Only Father-God Can Deliver us from self. Don't matter how much you try to "work on your self", or live by WWJD.... "Marvel not that I say unto you, YE MUST BE Born-Again!" Christ Enables our Coming Unto The Father, Only Father Can Make us Born-Again! Father don't want you unless you have HIS Heart. There was a man who snuck-into The King's Wedding Feast for HIS Son (Matt 22:1-14) Father asks him, "Friend, How come you here without a Wedding Garment?" He was speechless... Father orders him to be "bound and thrown into the darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Think that guy didn't want to be at the Wedding Feast? He just had a carnal-heart; was not Born-Again... Did NOT have his Wedding Garment. Born-Agains, Paul Tells us are "Partakers Of HIS Holiness". We have God's Enabling to KNOW and DO HIS Will... If you can't read John 17, Jesus' Strongest Witness, so Strong HE Prayed it, to HIS Disciples, and KNOW HE Is Describing your life, you aren't Of-HIM... Still some time to Come Unto The Father and BE Born-Again... Worth praying about. Worth taking 15 minutes to open your heart Unto Father-God and Give HIM your all.... Worth it like nothing else you could ever do in scope of your life! Not much longer now, kids! Maranatha!!! |

Yes, it is the most difficult one of all! I examine my own heart and I see pride in many aspects of my life, places where I didn't even know it. So difficult because the flesh IS pride! We will never be fully free of pride until we are fully free of the flesh! Until then, it's a battle, a daily struggle to recognize it and remove it as best as we can. But, even as another poster pointed out, one can also take pride in their "humility!" LOL!!!!! I think they key, or getting rid of most of it is always focusing on God and His love, and showing love to others, always putting Him and others before ourselves just because we want too. Even still.........pride will hide in our hearts to some degree because we live in the flesh for now. We can only do the best we can do, then let Jesus do the rest. |

Let's talk about what pride really is, and what it does to a person. Pride, can also be called ego, self serving....and other names, but let's really boil it down to what it really is. Pride is actually self worship, idolatry, and hating God and others. You might say "What rubbish! I don't hate anyone!" But if your heart is full of pride, yes you do. Do you drive down the street, see the unkept trailer home and think, even for a split second "trailer trash lives there". Do you see the fat man at the grocery store and think "repulsive, hope I never look like that." Do you pass by the homeless man on the street corner and think "disgusting bum, probably a drunk"........then think to yourself, "Boy, I'm glad I'm not like any of those people!" These are all examples of pride, although it might not seem like it on the surface, it is all pride. It's pride because you, in your mind, believe you are better than these people for various reasons. You have elevated yourself above all of them in your own mind based on your own faulty reasoning and the standards of satan's world and what he says is of value. You have "puffed yourself up" with pride as the bible says, thinking more highly of yourself then you should. Let's look at some more examples of pride, and the different forms it takes. Pride will stand in the way of forgiveness and grace. Someone insults you, immediately your pride is hurt! You want to insult back, hit back so you can "restore your pride", or restore your ego. Sometimes even if the person asks forgiveness, your pride will say "no". Not gonna happen, he/she hurt me too much. I can't forgive. The pride, or ego, screams that it will be damaged if you forgive the wrong that was done to you. This is a deadly sin, unforgiveness........which in many instances turns to hate. Jesus said if you hate your brother you are actually a murderer in God's eyes. Pride is responsible for that too. I see christians get into heated theology debates here, every single week. I mean they turn ugly, really ugly!!! I've gotten caught up in a few of them too! But, when you boil it down, it's all about pride. "I'm not going to let this jerk have the last word! No way! I'm going to set him straight until he admits I'm right and he's wrong!"......that's all about pride....pride and more pride. So, you might say, "well, I'm a great and faithful christian. I go to church, I follow the 10 commandments, I forgive and all of that, so I really got it going on, I'm one of the blessed people and it's all because I live right and I read my bible, I pray, I do everything I'm supposed to. I made the right choice in life so I deserve to go to heaven, while that heathen over there deserves to go to hell. And, I'm ok with that because I made the right choice and he didn't". Heck, I'm not even going to enter into this building because there is a sinner there and his grime might rub off on lily white me!" This is called self righteousness, which equals, once again......PRIDE. In your mind, you think that your salvation was your own doing, that you saved yourself when in reality, you did nothing on your own. Strip away the blood of Jesus that is covering your sins and you are just as filthy as the next guy. Don't be deceived!!! It is ONLY because of what HE did, not because of what YOU do that will grant you entrance into heaven because truth be told, we all deserve hell and that's a fact. When you fully grasp that fact, your pride will diminish because you have absolutely nothing to be proud about. What christians need to realize is that the sins of the heart will separate you from God and His mercy. Pride is the opposite of Jesus. "God gives grace to the humble, but He opposes the proud". Being in opposition to someone makes you their enemy. This can destroy your relationship with Jesus. I could have listed a ton of scriptures to back up every thing I've said here, but I'm addressing the christians, and if you know your bible, then you know this is all true. Examine your hearts and minds. Find the pride and remove it, it has no place in your heart. There will be no proud people in heaven, we will not be worshiping ourselves, we will be worshiping the one who got us there. Peace. Thanks Lisa*Lisa, this has been food for my spirit today! Peace. I disagree and am surprised you have gained as many stars as you have. sounds like some inward projection bullshit that you need to work on.
