So you say this only using gun violence statistics. Why not use homicide and assault statistics and doing the analysis. You can get statistics to say anything they want. Is it safer to be killed by a knife than a gun? Every one knows that majority black areas in dense urban environments are the worst, it's just some don't want to acknowledge the elephant in the room and choose to post hair-splitting statistics to defend their fantasy. The question is why do you want to live in this fantasy world?

How do you like that? And gun ownership rates are far higher in the former states than the latter.

The title of the map says gun deaths and says nothing about crime.

Mass. and Hawaii (2% black population) oddly have very low black populations and they are the safest states to live in.

As for Alaska it must be noted that there is a serious problem with the natives up there drinking and they get damned crazy when drunk. Also depression is high in Alaska due to the long dark winters. Suicide is very high in Alaska due to this, many of which are committed with guns and are thus included in the mentioned statistic.

A better method of determining white vs black gun crimes would be to either break it down into counties or else just look at conviction rates. But the results just wouldn't favorable for a liberal agenda so let us not go there.

They can't do it on a statewide basis either. The black population isn't high enough. They need to compare Oakland, Detroit, South Chicago to rural Idaho, Wyoming, Utah etc. Get a comparison that is as close to 100% black to 100% white. Here you are comparing some states that are like 15% black to others that are 20% black.

Obviously a state with a below average black population.

But keep in mind it only takes one large black city to ruin every statistic for whole damned state. Suddenly all the kids state wide look like low IQ criminals thanks to one large city.

Indeed, if you just look at academic performance of white Americans we stand up very well against any country in the world.
