TPTB: They all thought they were securing their positions - only to realize the truth.

They were all part of the herd the entire time...the bunch of them all very much bamboozled by their own self importance.

To me, the people who made that awful movie "Melancholia" knew that nothing would save them.

The whole movie was like their way of getting it out of their system - having a hissy fit.

Yes. Sitting inside their protective little shield as reality comes to greet them...

Ah yes, realizing there are only so many life boats to this cruise ship called western society.
Awakening up to the fact that you have no ticket on one.
To know you destroyed yourself too, is a tragic gift to accept.

Well I wonder if those life boats are tipping as we speak.
