Anonymous Coward User ID: 69983142 United States 08/07/2015 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Trump is an asshole and would make a horrible president. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17558558 This is not trolling, it's my honest opinion. If you can agree that the government has been corrupted by financial interests, then you must agree that all of these guys probably are just as corrupt and more of the same. The country is where it's at because that's exactly how someone wants it to be. We have all the potential for greatness, but always seem to fall short on the realization of it. Trump is an asshole, and he's full of himself. He is however good at looking out for his own interest and his and mine are in alignment. I no problem with the fact that he's used the system to screw over investors instead of getting screwed himself. I like the fact that he doesn't sugar coat it when he owns up to it. I feel that he is the only one up there that is his own man. I also feel that we need a bit of hot head strong willed leader to help america put it's foot down. We spend tons on our military and yet we aren't protecting our interest with it, instead we're fighting wars for bankers. |

chrion777 User ID: 69696261 United States 08/07/2015 01:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why was Trump asked to PROVE something impromptu and no one else was? How can you prove anything in a debate without bringing evidence? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4524052 The questions were not fair nor equal. First, it is not uncommon for the #1 person to get the hardest questions. That's also happening with Hillary. You can also see that the top 3-4 candidates got the majority of the questions. Second, it's time for Trump to be called on his cards. He says he has evidence. When he was called on it, the best he could come up with was "when I was at the border, the border gaurds told me that Mexico is sending the bad guys over". Come on, even if this is really happening, and it might be; do we want a president who does not understand the rule of law and what evidence really means? Hear say from some border guards is your evidence? I agree with some of the principles that trump is shouting about; but we need someone who's less of a loud mouth and who can act with reason. The debate to me revealed that there is no way that Trump can act presidential. He did better in the latter part of the debate; and to be fair they did start off attacking him; starting with the first question asking if he would run as an independent. That was meant primarily to piss him off. The problem is, that it WORKED. It showed that he's unstable and can not regulate his emotions. We do not want a hot head as president. As far as who presented the best: Rick Perry in the first debate actually did very well. I despised him in the first debate. His performance in this debate had me thinking he was the winner and asking myself if someone really can change. He admitted he was not ready last time; and I sensed more then just polish but a fundamental change within him. That's what he conveyed. Have to keep an eye on this one. Jeb Bush: He was probably the most 'presidential' and presented with the most polish. In this forum, people will probably say he's too luke-warm and worry about him being Bush #3. Could he be his own man as he said in the debate? Can we risk finding out? I'm not sure, but will be watching this as well. Fiorena did well on some parts, but just ok in others. I think she woudl be very pour in civil liberties and personal privacy-in the name of fighting Terror. Can we 'track the bad guys' and not the US Citizens. I agree with Rand that especially for US Citizens a war rent should be absolutely required. After all what is wrong with getting probable cause as the 4th amendment requires. In the first debate I might rank it : Perry Santorium a tie for the others... Fiorena - close to the bottom In the second debate with the top 10: (maybe a tie between the top two) Jeb Bush - Most presidential; Could run against Hillary Rubio - Very well spoken; I like his positions overall Hucklebee- Did decent but I think he's too insular / close minded Rand Paul- He did better then I thought he would; Not Ron though Cruz - Way to the right for me but he did well Carson - I like him as a person but does not seem ready : For Disclosure; I tend to vote democrat but am more ideologically a green-peace libertarian - if there could be such a thing. I even agree with some of the personal ideologies of republicans: I'm pro life - but these guys are so extreme and now even want to outlaw birth control (i.e. condoms). Also I don't think we should overturn row v wade- but we should have much tighter controls on abortion. First trimester only; maybe even sooner then that. We need to fix our borders- but we don't need any kind of National ID system Work Verify. Talk about the Mark of the Beast... We need to get terrorists, but we shouldn't destroy our constitutional and bill of rights to do it. We should not be as politically correct as the democrats, but not be like Trump either. We want to command respect in the world. We need to realize trickle down DOES NOT WORK. Trickle up works; We need to build a middle-class working base. We don't need more wellfare or handouts, but we do need to take care of the very poor and the mentally ill, while giving opportunities to all. We need to fix our trade agreements and bring jobs back here. Maybe Trump would be good at this one issue. In fact, who ever wins, should hire him just for this. That guy was the most rehearsed, parrot like guy up there. Not an original thought in his head. I watched that debate with 3 first time voters. The most interesting comment they all had was that they wished the candidates would say what they really thought, not what they thought they wanted to hear. They weren't concerned if they agreed with the candidate in the end- they just wanted genuine answers. For those 3 first time voters Carson was that man. Trump second. |
