Target Drops Toy Gender Labels After Outcry.

The move comes after an Ohio mother tweeted a picture of a Target toy aisle sign for "Girls' Building Sets".

Target has announced it will remove boys and girls labels from most of its children's departments after a social media outcry.

The children's bedding section and toy department will no longer feature such signage, the Minneapolis-based retailer said.

It will also remove the pink, blue, yellow and green paper indicating gender on the walls of its toy shelves.

More neutral wood panelling will be used instead, Target said.
