Trying to Make Sense of This Fatal Train Accident
So.. The day before her 29th birthday, Tamar Louis is seen sitting on the train station, dangling her legs over the platform. A train is pulling in, the conductor sees her and blows the horn.

The horn startles her, and causes her to drop her purse onto the tracks.

Now, knowing the train is coming in..She still goes to fetch the purse and is killed instantly by the train.

What am I missing here? wtf

Re: Trying to Make Sense of This Fatal Train Accident
She may have dropped her purse, the report says. Even if it appeared as if she dropped her purse, sometimes before a lady jumps from a wall (like at the beach or in a yard), they'll toss their purse first and then jump safely next to it.

So…maybe it was a suicide?

Sad, sad story. And it was right before her 29th birthday.

I'm leaning toward suicide, imo.

True, and birthdays/holidays are known to be triggers for suicidal people... The more thought I give to it, the more I am starting to lean towards this.. It just wouldn't make sense for her to be that careless to put her life in danger over a purse.. But, we all know how certain people can be so careless. I dunno.

Not many people are giving thought to the idea that it could've been intentional on any news article I read... News 12 on facebook has a ton of comments, most making fun of her stupidity- darwin award, etc.. Not many are thinking that it was something other than a thoughtless mistake.

Re: Trying to Make Sense of This Fatal Train Accident
My mother just told me she read on a news article that it was ruled a suicide.. I am looking for article to post.

Very sad she would choose to do it that way and traumatize all of those strangers on top of her family and friends like that..

"“This investigation is still open, however we can say that this has been deemed a suicide based on reports from the medical examiner,” Daniels said.

Authorities have said that Louis was sitting on the edge of the northbound platform dangling her legs shortly before 9:30 a.m. As the engineer of an approaching express train sounded the train horn, “She jumps up, drops something and she jumps down (to the tracks) to retrieve it,” Daniels said.

Previously, authorities have said Louis dropped a wallet or a handbag.

Daniels added, “Why was she there with her legs dangling?”'

How about asking why no one tried to tell the girl not to sit there in the first place like that, they have the "do not cross line" for a reason.. That train station does not have many employees working there- just in the actual station building which is not exactly right on the track itself so no employee was able to intervene, but it was the height of rush hour, you would think some witnesses would at least tell her not to sit there or think something is up but I guess people just minded their own business...
