Living the Pacific Northwest they are all over. While retrieving a small crab trap, I once had a small one suck onto my arm. It was one of the most frighting moments of my life. It was cold, slimy and took me and two other people to rip it from my forearm. It was like 500 little sharp pebbles sucked onto me. Never broke the skin, but for days my arm and hand was a mess. Red and wilted like I got burned.

They WILL squirt you if they take a dislike to you and they remember who's who too.
