What if our Souls/Spirits use our unique DNA and brain structure in order to stay attached to our bodies? In that case, a teleported person would not notice a difference, since their Soul is immaterial and would immediately recognize and sync up to the new body.

Like taking the SIM card out of one phone and putting it into a new one.

Of course, it's impossible to prove Souls exist, so a teleporter is a HUGE gamble.

That was the premise of the movie "The Prestige" starring Michael Caine and Scarlett Johannsen, with David Bowie playing Nikola Tesla. In this movie, Tesla makes a teleporter/copier but the magician (Caine) has to kill himself every time he uses it.

That's something I've heard and believe. The soul poses an interesting factor however, is the soul copied? Split? Imitated but not truly recreated?

So many questions and no tests, tools or instruments to measure with.

It doesn't matter. You are not the same person you were one second ago. The properties of molecules and atoms change with time. All the cells in the human body get replaced every 7 years. These copies are not 100% because every electron in the universe has a unique quantum energy level. You cannot copy an electron. You can have two that are very close to being identical.

I would like to get a Teleporter/copier and tinker around with it a little bit so that instead of teleporting it just makes copies with out destroying the original. After i've done that i would make a bunch of copies of myself and i'd stay home and send my copies to work, doctors appointments, church, and to run errands instead of me. The only problem would be if my "copies" had a different personality and character than mine. That would be bad.

That theory has been raised with astral projection too. You are not actually "exiting" the body, just making a copy of your energy body somewhere.

It would be much harder to do physically, but the same process would be at play.

Then you have the notion that the universe is constantly copying itself anyway. So you would just be loading yourself into a new timeline.
