lol dx12 was the only reason I upgraded as well. I'm not sure if its even worth it anymore if I can't pirate games. I will never pay for games again with the nonsense dlc that they give with games

That's a really really really stupid comment. Who decides WHAT is pirated? What if they don't like what you're running, legal or not? What if they make a mistake and think it's illegal, but it's NOT? Why should they have the power to take ANYTHING off your personal property without a warrant from a court?

For gaming use upcoming Valve's OS.

Most people, like me only installed Win10 because of DX12, when Valve releases its OS we can all kiss MicroJewSoft goodbye. Most people just use windows because of gaming, without it its basically irrelevant for the majority of us.

Looking for the day when Joogle, FaceJewBook, MicroJewSoft and all other Jews spying crap will all go down in flames, along with their owners.

Remember that little mystery device called the TPM they started putting in computers around 2006? For your protection of course. From the NSA led "trusted computing group"?

Microsoft was going to make TPM 2.0 mandatory starting in 2015 to even run windows - they backed off, but shortly if you don't have it you flat out can't install windows.

Several foreign governments have identified it as a national security threat and won't even allow it in their countries. Germany for example will not allow it to be used on government computers.

So if your computer has TPM that can be pulled - pull it. If it has TPM 1.2 in the mobo/network turn it off, and if it has TPM 2.0 well you are just fucked.

I dont claim I know anything about hacking, but if Microsoft tried to stop people copying software/games through Windows, the hackers would disassemble the entire code and release it.

You could just turn off you computer, go outside or listen to old music cds/records.mp3s or watch a dvd . if they keep making it this difficult to use the internet the end result is that they want. the end of average people using it . they are going to scare you off the internet.

well i still run xp, its not super fast but i manage, i think i will just stick with it for a bit or switch to one of the other free OS's

Not really needed yet, for M$ to do this, you still have to use a M$ account, anyone with a single brain cell should know not to use a linked account and only use a local account.

That said, it is possible to disable all of windows 10's spying, but it's not easy unless you use something like the "destroy windows spying" program, mainly it requires the use of power shell and editing the hosts file (to be fair, it's not a bad idea to edit the hosts file to block spying url's anyway).

Yep, same happened with Apple OS X Yosemite. I work for Apple as a Tech Support Trainer. I've been using Mac for about 15 years, and I've always been a fanboy. But Yosemite has been an absolute disaster, and Apple makes in damn near impossible to go back to the previous OS (Mavericks). In fact, for many users, there is no "official" way to do so. If your system came with Mavericks and has a recovery partition, you can do so. Otherwise, tough luck.

That is why I run Linux. Running windows with anti-virus is sooo fuckinnng slooooow. Linux doesn't need it and is super fast.

Beg to differ... I have tried many times to make LibreOffice work with docs. But, there are many rendering issues. If you use office for work, anything Linux is nothing more than a toy.

If you spend your time in front of a computer playing Solitaire and watching porn, by all means, linux is your best friend. Debian with a KDE desktop is best for those trying to migrate from MS.
Of course, you'll still be one luck SOB if your wireless card is recognized out of the box. If not, prepare to spend many hours trying to figure out ndiswrapper.

no doubt Microsoft will soon figure out how to make Windows 10 not play pirated videos and music!
