Wal-Mart getting hit hard by thieves | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 69866822 United States 08/18/2015 09:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my wife is a manager at walmart and yes they are getting hit really hard. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69866822 Its kinda unbelievable how many people steal at walmart Why would it be so unbelievable, when the very people who shop at Walmart, are the very ones who don't have money to shop elsewhere? my wifes walmart lost 1.3 million this past year in theft. Now not one single employee in the store gets a bonus. and to top it off, We the taxpayers are stuck with the bill as walmart writes it off on their taxes and we pay for it. Times that by every single store in the world. that is billions upon billions that we the tax payers get stuck with... And to make it worse its mostly mexicans doing it.. |

When a large chunk of your own employees collect benefits because rhey can't make a decent wage or benefits from Walmart and many other large employers, why would theft be surprising? Walmart and other similar retailers, and grocery stores, make a $killing$ from government benefits. Those benefits exist more tir their benefit than for 'poor' people. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 66636637 United States 08/18/2015 10:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wal-Mart sells crap. Sure they sell some brand name items but they're not at a much lower price. Quoting: Darkside Cookies The off brand stuff is garbage and their stores are disgusting! Pretty much. Damn near everyone around here lauds and loves Wal-Mart. Most people don't even know that other stores exist. To them only Wal-Mart exists and it is THE place to go. If you don't go to Wal-Mart, you're a complete and utter loser. Whatever though, I don't like Wal-Mart either, but my family friend, James, loves going there so I go with him to help him out only. Wal-Mart's foods from it's own bakery are so fricken heavy both in weight and in feeling. Their pizzas smell rather delectable, but when you eat it, you'll feel bloated and your bowel movements will be severely hampered for about a week afterwards. Do NOT EVER eat anything from Wal-Mart's Bakery for your health, people! You are spot on. Even though I do buy a few select items from Walmart (very difficult to find anything halfway healthy), I do not buy ANYTHING from their bakery and never have. It's all sugar, white flour, shortening, and food coloring. PURE GARBAGE. You will notice that the biggest whales shopping at Walmart always have bakery items in their carts. And this is a good part of HOW they got that way. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21169250 United States 08/21/2015 07:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Reading this thread convinces me that the thefts are allowed intentionally and will be part of reasons for new rfid replacement for barcodes and cashiers. Of course this means less workers also, and you can come in and lift whatever you wa.t, but the rfid in the products and in your body will automatically register, even derelicts will be allowed to run up charges, but once you reach a certain point you might have to become an indentured slave to pay back. Or the equivalent of debtors prison |
