Let's face reality...71% of all Americans cannot muster 500 dollars if an emergency in their household took place so the majority of Americans got no skin in the markets.

Let us consider for just a moment....where will the money flow to in a world rocked by currency instability? The deepest pool of liquidity in the history of the world...the United States of America.

Joe Lunchbucket, with his 401k just sitting there for the taking, is paying very close attention after last week and the big ass hurting in 2008.

Once he decides to cash out, or put his money on the sidelines, then you'll see the next huge downturn. That's why they are pouring on the propaganda right now, to try to keep his ass in check.

I have seen the market and the Fed do things that just astounded me, pulling numerous rabbits out of the hat, time and time again. You've got to give them credit for having such an arsenal of tricks.

If they can stabilize the numbers, then they will start by pushing "buy the low" and maybe get away with buying themselves another few months.

Some people just don't get it.

Trillions of debt all over the world, never has been any money to back that up, that is the truth, they have been playing games with peoples lives.

I worked with people like this, put a % away each month into the 401k. Joe Lunch didn't check their statement until the quarter end. So what day does the quarter end, that's a hint.

I will keep saying it, if you don't know what you are doing, stay away from this market. You can make a ton of monopoly money shorting things, but it can bite you in the butt when the rules get changed midgame. I got burned in '08 and am still bitter everything got propped up. It was a slow burn, but at the end I could not believe everything would be bailed out to the US tax payers.

I have no doubt there are traders watching this board to try to get ahead of the market. Obviously other countries aren't so keen on bailing the liars out this go around. I wish I could say the same about muppets in the States.

This market is not meant for the hoi polloi...its too fast...not "declaration of fast market conditions" fast but big bad deflation fast.

People are barely scraping though. I guess I was a smart investor as I started a small business during the last depression and here I am 7 years later living better than ever. Yet I will call out how much of a sham this market is, knowing exactly where my money is coming from.

I still think the lower wage earners (in Los Angeles, $25+/hr) do scrape something up for retirement. This is coming from someone in Los Angeles, your area will vary on that hourly wage number. Or you live in the basement and its a koosh life.

I'm not scared either. I didn't invest my money into imaginary binary code digits on some trader software, I bought real things that have value that you can touch and hold. I've always been big on trading instead of buying so I'll do fine. Real people will band together in tough times, maybe we need that now with all the junkies, thieves and horrible shit going on in our country...rape, murders, drugs, all those kinds of people are going to really screw with the rest of us but I'm not scared for me I'm worried for my young family members and who will make sure that they are taken care of if something were to ever happen because even in a barter society things can and do go south pretty quick sometimes if someone is intent on robbing you.

If things DO go very south the next few days though...a guy who lived through the Kosovo/Serb wars and saw society collapse all around him was asked if he could go back and buy one thing to help him prepare for what was to come what would it be? He said 1,000 bic lighters because EVERYONE was trading ANYTHING for them. Same with coffee and cigarettes but people started mixing down everything to make a few dollars.

Just be smart and come up with a rational plan and you'll make it. If you panic while drowning, you just die faster so everyone stay cool and stay safe. Good luck! Hope we all make it.
