Dealing with 1 woman is trouble enough for any man who truly cares for the woman and negotiating all the minefields of a relationship.
(That is my opinion and experiance from meeting my only wife at age 28 and 14 years of marriage. Still going strong after natural bumps in the road and highs and the lows any couple encounters.)

Your logic is not good enough. If gay marriage is legal, all marriage should be legal.

So long as the taxpayers aren't supporting the litters and the man can support his harem, yeah, right, who cares.

But what happens in reality is the taxpayers end up supporting the litters; it's a way of life.

Look at the government's breeding program in the US: some males already have 5-10 girlfriends w/litters, not married and not financially responsible for their litters. Taxpayer is supporting them (while the working man/woman not a part of the breeding program struggles to support their 1 child).

Next thing yeah know, you have a tribe you're battling to keep your own resources.

You have 1-2 kids, but the multiple partner (government breeding program) has got yeah beat, they have multiple fathers to multiple children from multiple woman.

The single family can't keep up with that act, not when they are struggling to support their own, let alone the government breeding program.

This is what polygamy will produce, and working Americans just can't SUPPORT it.
