Bruh - when you are nervous, holding a gun with one hand, and in a rush - you can even misfire a BB gun. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that if you've had any sort of weapons training.

Furthermore, if you had actually seen the POV video that he took, he was clearly nervous as fuck. At first he approaches the reporter, gun in hand ready to fire then backs off for a roughly 20 seconds before committing himself to the act.

Does that strike you as someone who is trained as a marksman?

If he was more concerned about his positioning (and the video) then no, it does not strike me as someone who is hell bent on killing people.

I will say however, that the fact that he did not fix his camera after the initial shots would suggest that he indeed was more focused on killing then getting a good video.

You can clearly see a pool of blood below the dead cameraman in one of the photos. Maybe you should try looking again.

Edit: And yes, he clearly was rushing, as evidenced by his fast approach to the victim. Nervousness then kicks in and he backs off in the video, breathing heavily (as multiple posters have already noted). He then inhales, swears under his breath and pulls the trigger.

he realized he was almost in the shot of the main camera, so he backed up. you can sense when somebody is so close to you, why didn't the cameraman turn around to see? plus you are gonna hear footsteps on wooden deck and maybe even feel the vibration.

Very simple. The first shots (the ones captured on the madman's video) were shots to the body. She recoiled screaming and ran. Then the paycho's video loses sight of her and everything else, but you can still hear him shooting over and over and over. That's when the head shots occurred.
