We should be coming to the realization that, eventually, the general population will have to start shooting back.

One report says a neighbor and a dog were also shot -- this was while the officer was on burglary in progress call ...

Anybody that needs fucking shot.

A dog and a bystander, I'm guessing the cop did it.

The cop probably made direct eye contact with the shooter or walked "with purpose" toward the citizen who then responded with deadly force per policy.

A thorough investigate will clear the citizen, who must make split second choice to defend himself from the threat the officer, who was armed and had a history of violence, presented by not complying immediately with commands to stop.

One report says officers may have responded to the wrong house ....

And the dog that was shot is dead ... maybe cops went to the wrong house, shot the dog, and the owner was pissed and shot back ?

Apparently the cops broke into someone's house & killed the owners dog then there was a shootout...

Seriously? The keystone cops never came up with anything that funny.

if homeowner had been shooting, he'd be dead. More likely, cop got hit by other cop's gunfire, homeowner also hit, and dog killed.

How bout "the war on people by the state" needs to end

The "war" on cops? Being a highwayman just became a respectful occupation 50 years ago. But all throughout the rest of history, anyone robbing someone at gunpoint on the side of the road was a criminal and the news of that criminal's death was welcomed.

That's the story I read as well. Showed up at a random house ( wrong house ) came in the back unlocked door, killed the dog....the homeowner went apeshit on them protecting his house.

They are admitting the cops were in the wrong, and did the wrong thing. It's lucky that the homeowner was only shot in the leg.
