Can you live in a truck camper?

i lived in a dodge colt for 3 months.

pretty uncomfortable.

but did it until i saved enough to get a place.

actually graduated college living in it.

Lots of people do it. They travel where the jobs are and can stay out of shitty climates. You going to do it op?

Hell if I can live in a tent with no windows and eat bear for breakfast, shit I guess you can live in a camper. Be a step up for me.

In the 70s our family of four, two of us kids 9 and 6ish, lived in one of those small Mallard Campers for a year.

These days our parents would probably have been jailed for it, and we would have been farmed out to the state foster care system.

Anyway, we did it and I'm not scarred from it. I barely remember doing it, seeing this thread just reminded me of it.

I know some people who did it, 3 month vacay with the family - they used a truck tent, pretty cool item, I'm thinking about buying or making one

So, #1 thing is to deal with your shit. Nothankyougees are crapping in the road and forest because they are "camping indefinately"

Basically, camping is what you speak of, but you have mechanized mobility, that is it. Yes, a potra potty like what small boats have, is fine, but, in a boat you can dump the chemtoilet yet in civilization, you better fuckin not dump your shittanks because RV ers like me frown on that.

Buy a fuckin bathroom, tanks, electric, and buy a Suburban to tow the thing if you want my opinion.

Get a woman, keep a family together, you will need a bathroom with proper tanks for that.

But I would say, defend the RV'rs don't try to play the middle with a lance type they are not full time RV unit, you can't live and functionally mobile in it.

I have sat dish that can hook up anywhere I can see the sat beam, I have 12 volt power to run my comms,

Sure the camper units have full bathrooms, but again, you pay 10k for that, and then your truck has to be specially built and you give up your bed.

With my 25' Travel Trailer and Suburban, I can detach, I haven't to fuck around with a fifth wheel, my Burban is the ultimate people or mtn beast.

Plus OP, if you get divorced or separate from your lady,

she can have the home and you can have the truck!

Leaving her with a nice long trailer which is fully functional,

and you get a nice full truck with many uses, is kinda like a smart RV prenup!
