We'll start the selection of our next fighter(/bomber) fleet in 2017 and MSM is already propagandizing the F-35 as the only viable option. [link to ottawacitizen.com] Personally, I wish we'd go for Eurofighter or JAS Gripen, instead. |

Do you know that most of the negative comments have come from one person and his coalition. -- the creator of the F-16. Look it up. The F-35 has been in many 4 vs 4 and 5 vs 5 air engagements with F-16s, F-18s and A-10s. That have not lost one battle. In fact, most battles ended without the opposing side knowing the 35s were even near them. You and many others keep referring back to the 35 vs F-16 that claims it couldn't fight. Yet you fail to realize that it didn't have its equipment functioning, software package, sensors, or the maneuvering software. It was a test platform to study the flight characteristics. They just wanted to see how it could fly and engage without the upgrades. The F-35 also flew in Green Day, which is a realistic combat training with troops and an opposing force. It completed all missions without a single loss as compared to multiple shoot-downs of A-10s and F-16s. Many from the opposing force stated they didn't know how they were killed (eliminated) but learned afterwards that it was indeed the F-35s. When you learn more of what this plane can accomplish, then you'll change your tune. |
