When we make statements, we limit results to whatever the statement is. When we ask open questions, we receive our bounty from the universe in creative ways. For example, instead saying "I want $100", try asking something like "I wonder what blessings or gifts I will be given today?" It's like you're opening the door to endless possibilities instead of limiting yourself by stating something narrow. It kind of sounds like what your posting about, and it reminded me of this. "We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." - T. S. Eliot |

Thanks. Yes, I think that asking questions does open up more possibilities than making statements and that's probably why these 'why' affirmations seem to be more effective. |

Quoting: davidnv Here’s are some examples: Why does money come to me so easily? Why is my problem with ________ completely resolved? Why do I feel such inner peace? Why am I always surrounded by a bubble of protection? Why is my _______ completely healed? Try this experiment: Close your eyes. Say to yourself "Why do I feel such inner peace?" Keep your eyes closed for a while. How does that make you feel? Can you tell the difference? Most people I've shared this with say that sure enough, it makes them feel good - like an endorphin rush or something. Bottom line: 1) Try repeating one or more "why" affirmations during the day. Come up with your own affirmations. See how it makes you feel. Notice any changes. Post your results. Teach the technique to others. 2) Check out this 2 minute video that proves through muscle testing that "why" affirmations are more effective than regular affirmations: [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] (2 minutes) I’ll try to answer questions and post new affirmations (or afformations, as the author refers to them) when I have time. Good luck! I would like to offer some insight. You are right, repeating an affirmation will do nothing, you have to experience it emotionally in your mind as if it is already in place. The Universe will attempt to create the "reality" you are imagining, your brain cannot distinguish between a real experience and one you imagine. When you ask "Why has this good thing happened to me" you are creating it in a past tense, it already exists so the same principle is being applied. You are not imagining something you want, you are imagining something that already exists, thus the Universe starts to make that thing happen to match what your mind is saying is real. |

Good luck! I don't see a substantive difference between positive affirmations and why affirmations. In both styles, the brain knows the chit ain't real. So, when you ask why are you so rich (when you clearly are not) the brain knows that equally as much as saying to the brain through positive affirmations that you are rich. It's the same outcome, imho. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70288347 United States 09/20/2015 11:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The affirmation must be phrased so that the unconscious mind accepts the situation as truth. The mind will always seek to create an outer reality that justifies the truths which it accepts. Common example: tell a child repeatedly that they are stupid, dumb, idiotic, etc. and eventually their truth or belief system accepts this as truth and will cause the child to repeatedly act according to the belief system you created for them. The opposite is also true. Of course, if the child has no mental defect. But even if there is mental defect, you will still be able to encourage the child to live to their absolute potential with positive reinforcement. To change the broken unconscious programming that destructive parents or care takers create in us, you must change your belief system. Act accordingly as if.... repetition creates change. Peace |
